For insurance business we arrange policies exclusively from Legal & General. Their home insurance is flexible allowing you to choose the level of cover you need. They offer competitive prices for both buildings cover and home contents insurance.
Below are the choices of cover available to you:
Buildings Insurance
- Covers the domestic structure of your home i.e. roofs, walls, fences, gates and outbuildings, plus permanent fixtures like fitted kitchens, bathrooms and fitted wardrobes.
- Covers your home against loss or damage from many causes including fire, lightning, storm or flood (excluding fences and gates), theft, explosion, escape of water or oil, vandalism and subsidence.
- Also covers accidental damage to underground pipes and cables servicing your home, accidental damage to windows and fixed sanitaryware and the cost of alternative accommodation if necessary (following an insured event).
- 24-hour Emergency Helpline
- Optional extended accidental damage cover available
Contents Insurance
- Provides cover on a new-for-old basis for household goods, including furniture, carpets, curtains, and your personal belongings in the home, garages and sheds.
- Covers personal money in your home up to £500 plus property in the garden up to £1000.
- Covers your contents against loss or damage from many causes including fire, smoke damage, lightning, theft, flood and escape of water or oil.
- Also covers accidental damage to TVs, home computers, and other audio and video equipment; freezer contents; replacement locks and keys following theft of keys; and contents temporarily removed from your home e.g. whilst attending full-time education.
- Includes an automatic 10% increase in cover for one month before and after a special event e.g. a wedding.
- Optional extended accidental damage cover available
- Cover for Personal Possessions and Family Legal Protection is also available
